As autumn draws to a close, Valda Boardman PR worked with Keelings Fruits to celebrate the release of their Irish eating apples in Tesco stores nationwide. A list of apple facts were included in the press release drafted for this activation, including the fact that only 5% of all apples eaten in Ireland are Irish! The release also included nutritional facts about apples from keelings nutritionist, Aveen Bannon.
A media drop to food journalists and influencers was also developed to spread the message that purchasing Keelings apples not only means buying great tasting product, but also supporting Irish produce. The drop included trays of Keelings Irish eating apples as well as a heart-shaped Nicholas Mosse plate which was perfect for placing apples slices on. The drop was well received and had great features on social media as well as in Retail News and the Sunday Times.
